Cultural Center Yesera

The building is planned as an urban actuation that makes us think in a global intervention using 100% of the area of the plot.
The uniqueness of the solution comes from taking the building as the result of the process of crystallization of gypsum. The building emerges from the rock matrix and is formalized in crystals. The singularity of the form is necessary for understanding the proposal. It is proposed a constructive solution that allows formal flexibility. To get it, concrete is played in different tones and combined with glass-walls, porcelain and stone façades.
Concrete works as a structural element and as a skin. The light or heavy coating allows us to choose depending on the constructive complexity. When a slight incline appears we will take a cladding solution.
We understand that, in the square, emerging elements from the ground will take crystal shape and are materialized with light coating techniques.
The proposal divides the plot into two parts, the northern part, which has more pending, would house the building. The southern, flatter, would house the parking lot.
The parking is integrated into the topography and buried arises.
The area occupied by the building comprises buried areas and emerging areas in dialogue with the topography of the plot.
