It is exciting to work with given structures; these restrictions create a special kind of creative energy. The sequence of sections shows the composition of the building, the existence of a box inside another, the existence of a council within the other.
The necessity for an independent work of the two councils requires the separation between them. The building is separated into two zones, an exterior casing comprising the eminently morning working part adapted to the current building’s façade and a portion of the forged equidistant to it.
The independent council is located in the interior, like a box inside another, wrapped in the vacuum left by the existing building. The unifying element is the vertical communications, which acts as a common element between them. The possibility for reading a book, watching the trees in the square of Gabriel Miro, transparency between a building and the other, the visual link between the various rooms. A library, with three spaces visually linked, the spatial complexity with slabs at different heights. The box inside the box, the independent operation of each of them, the core as common element, the inner box, technology, the outer, traditional, the core, heavy articulator.
